About the project

Orla Desktop provides a native dock for pinning, reordering and launching apps, switching between windows and arranging widgets. Appearance can be previewed before applying, with presets, colors, opacity, spacing and reduced motion. Manual profiles store apps, appearance and widget organization.

Optional integrations read local state files from QuotaLantern, PeriGauge and FalaTrace without starting those apps or calling their online APIs. The project is in alpha; the optional bar, launcher and parts of the Control Center are experimental, with integration and native qualification still incomplete.

Highlights

  • Pinned apps, window switching and visibility configured through the Plasma panel.
  • Appearance presets with preview, explicit application and manual profiles.
  • Clock, Pomodoro, KDE calendar and MPRIS media controls; optional local integrations disabled by default.
