About the project

Enquadra brings together V4L2/UVC controls, field-of-view selection on the Brio 500, digital zoom, mirroring and local profiles. Automatic framing uses YuNet; background blur and replacement use PP-HumanSeg segmentation.

The preview works without a virtual camera; output to meeting apps uses v4l2loopback and requires explicit setup. Capture, detection and segmentation run locally, while the meeting app controls video transmission. This is an alpha, with hardware validated on Ubuntu with the Brio 500 and no guaranteed support for other cameras.

Highlights

  • Local automatic framing with YuNet and background effects with PP-HumanSeg.
  • V4L2/UVC controls, digital zoom, mirroring and locally saved profiles.
  • Preview independent of the virtual camera, a service separate from the window and CLI diagnostics without capture.
